Danube PIE workshop

Ecodesign for SME manufacturers – from resource efficient design to product innovation

Environmental awareness has increased dramatically in the last years, particularly driven by concerns about climate change and it connection to fossil fuels use, and availability of resources. For manufacturers this might require compliance with tighter legal environmental standards, or higher prices for materials and energy, which may have an important effect on production processes. Effective environmental improvements to company´s products, services and even the organization through Ecodesign can be turned into a competitive advantage.

The project Danube PIE – product innovation through ecodesign in the Danube region - is funded by the EU in close collaboration with organizations of the Enterprise Europe Network from the Danube region. The overall aim is to support small and medium-sized enterprises to optimize their products through Ecodesign.

In this event of the LCA Symposium, DanubePIE partners will present all key messages, tools, best practices and success stories gathered during the project implementation. Key experts and SME representatives will share their insights and benefits from the application of the Eco-design concept in everyday activities.

This workshop will take place on 25 November, starting after the morning coffee break (the exact time will be announced in September).
